Born in Olds, Alberta to Howard and Augusta Ulry. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Opal. Words cannot express how much dear Opal was loved by her family and friends.
She was looking forward to the final journey and being reunited with the special people who predeceased her; loving husband Donald; son Wayne; sisters; Audrey; Doris; May; brothers; Clifford; Orville; Archie; Lloyd; Everett; Lyle; and many other family and friends.
Opal is survived by her sister; Sally; sons; Harley; Brian; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great granddaughters; Brother in-law; John and many Nephews and Nieces.
Opal worked for Overseas Commodities for 30 years, was an active member in Vancouver Moose Lodge, Rebecca's ladies auxiliary of the Odd Fellows Lodge, and Old Tyme Fiddlers. She learnt to play the piano at a young age and continued to play throughout her entire life. She played crib and bridge every week until she moved from her home in August of 2017. Opal is very special in so many ways and will be missed by all of us.
Funeral is to be held at Avalon Surrey Funeral Home, 13288 108 Ave., Surrey BC at 12:00 PM on Saturday March 3, 2018.
