BLOOMINGDALE, Orvil Everton, a resident of Surrey, B.C. passed away peacefully on December 29, 2007 at the age of 86. Orvil was born February 16, 1921 in Riverhurst Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his twin sister Opal Ardiel, sister Ann McCall, brother Elmer Bloomingdale, sister Shirley Bloomingdale and son Lewis Bloomingdale. Orvil will be sadly missed by his sister Hazel Larose, his many nieces, nephews and friends. Orvil joined the army in 1942 and trained to be a mechanic, a profession that he continued through out his life until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed many things in life including fishing, dancing, playing cards and loved animals. Orvil was an active members of the Royal Canadian Legion for 53 years. Being part of the legion was something that he thoroughly enjoyed and was very proud of it. A memorial service and luncheon will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 11 am at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6. 17567 57 Ave, Cloverdale, B.C.
