November 7, 1932 – December 10, 2020
Your hug meant the world
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one’s eyes shone so bright with love
As our mom’s, who is now high
above in eternal peace and light ~
It is with deep sadness the family of Pearl Mikitka announce her passing the evening of Dec. 10th, 2020 after battling dementia and covid. Pearl was born in Vilna, Alberta and at a young age moved to Vancouver in 1950 to start her family.
Her love of cooking later blossomed into food management and she returned to Edmonton working for Woodwards, City Hall and finally the Edmonton Journal. Pearl loved the outdoors from gardening to fishing and also dancing. Pearl returned to BC to be with her family. Her greatest love was her
children, her unconditional love will be missed.
Family would like to thank the staff at the residence of Clayton Heights Care Home, especially the care aids and nursing. They gave endless compassion, empathy, guidance and laughter through good and hard times.
