Your hug meant the world

As our mom's, who is now high
above in eternal peace and light ~

It is with deep sadness the family of Pearl Mikitka announce her passing the evening of Dec. 10th, 2020 after battling dementia and covid. Pearl was born in Vilna, Alberta and at a young age moved to Vancouver in 1950 to start her family.
Her love of cooking later blossomed into food management and she returned to Edmonton working for Woodwards, City Hall and finally the Edmonton Journal. Pearl loved the outdoors from gardening to fishing and also dancing. Pearl returned to BC to be with her family. Her greatest love was her
children, her unconditional love will be missed.
Family would like to thank the staff at the residence of Clayton Heights Care Home, especially the care aids and nursing. They gave endless compassion, empathy, guidance and laughter through good and hard times.
Pearl is survived by her 3 children, Leigh & Allan Mutch, Gary & Betty Mikitka And Shelly & Ken Dutzick, her grandchildren Erin, Tara & Genesis, and her great grandchildren Justin, Mikayla & Liam.
Due to convid there will be no service at this time, family and friends will gather at a later time. On line condolences at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home website.
