Queenie (Ethel)Rosa SANDVE

SANDVE - Queenie (Ethel)Rosa. Aged 89 years passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2006 at her home in Zion Park Manor, Cloverdale. She was predeceased by her husband Obed and her grand-daughter Sherry. She was born in Ramsgate, England in 1917 and moved to Canada at the age of ten. She met Obie and they married in 1937. While raising their family they farmed in the Port Kells area before retiring and moving to Lombardy Trailer Court in Fort Langley in 1979. After losing her husband of 49 years Queenie remained an important part of this community. She then moved to Zion Park Manor in 2004 where she made many more friends. She will be sadly missed by her sons Gerry (Judi), Dennis (Joanne), John (Karen), Bob (Anna), Jim (Mary-Anne), Rick (Jackie), and her daughters June (Arch), Linda (George), Carrie (Stew), and Kathy (Kelly). As well as her cherished 25 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

An open-house tea to celebrate her life will be held at St. Oswald Anglican Church Hall at 9566 190 Street, Surrey on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 2 - 5 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.
