Bob passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father, Philip, mother, Winnifred and brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen and daughter Denine, as well as brother-in-law, Buddy, sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Grace and several nieces and nephews. Bob was born into a race horse family and spent many years at Hasting Park Race Track where he met several life long friends. Bob had a huge love and respect for the waters of B.C. His grandfather and great grandfather were hard hat deep sea divers from wherein he inherited his love for the ocean. Boating and fishing were an important part of his life. He also had a love for cars, old cars, new cars, collector cars, muscle cars. He had a great knowledge about all of them.
Bob spent 42 years, most of his working career at Weiser Lock, from the time when it was a huge manufacturing plant employing 400-500 people, to the days of his retirement, where it was downsized to a mere distribution centre of 20-25 people.
This kind, wonderful and very special man will be missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
Arrangements for a gathering in his honor will be announced at a later date.
