It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ron Abrams - beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Frieda of 54+ years; daughters Rhonda (Steve) and Kim; treasured granddaughters Madison and Brooklyn; siblings Josie, Bert (Dora), Norma, and (Anne).
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Agnes; brothers Leslie and Irvin; brothers-in-law Bill and Helmut.
Ron was a loving, generous and caring man who always put his family and friends first. He touched many people with his kindness and strength. His devotion to his family and deep love for his wife were inspirational.
Ron had an entrepreneurial spirit and undeniable work ethic that contributed to his successful career as a bank manager, followed by many years as a business owner/operator in the hospitality industry. He loved hockey and excelled as a junior hockey champion. He loved classic cars, country music, family BBQ's, and holiday get-togethers.
Ron's family and friends are grateful to have so many wonderful memories of him. He is deeply missed and forever imprinted on our hearts. Those close to Ron know he preferred not to be the centre of attention, and would rather give than to receive.
At his request, no service will be held. Donations can be made in his honour to the BC Cancer Agency or charity of choice.
