Ross was proud to have served during World War II as a member of the RAF and transferred to the RCAF. While stationed in Limavady, Northern Ireland, he met Joy who was an MT driver in the WAAF. Joy became his beloved wife of 65 years. Ross loved flight and enjoyed working in aviation until his retirement in 1985 from Air Canada as an aircraft engineer. Ross enjoyed woodworking with his biggest project being the family cottage he built in the late 1950’s in the Laurentians of Quebec. After a valiant battle with lung cancer Ross passed peacefully on Sept. 6, 2009 at the Langley Hospice. Ross will be remembered by his large family and the many friends made throughout his years. To know him was to love him. Ross is survived by his wife Joy, brother Ken and sister Jean, daughters Heather & Gail, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
