Ruth Ellen Beauchamp

December 14, 2006

Beauchamp, Ruth Ellen (Plunkett) October 17, 1914 to December 14, 2006. Ruth passed away quietly in her sleep after having suffered a mild stroke four days before. Her heart, which had not been strong for some time, stopped in the night. It was as she wished and we are thankful she did not suffer. We ache for her leaving but are immensely grateful for the gift of her role in our lives - Mom to Peter (Randi), Kathryn (Hans) and Jane; Nana to Trevor (Barb), Tanya (Dave), Erika (Julian), Denver (Lynnette), Kevin (Heidi); Great Nana to Julianne, Samantha, Gus, Markus, Pascal, Pilar, Martin and Lynden. Greeted with open arms in Heaven by Chalmers. She was

everything a Mom should be. Always there for us, involved in our lives, anxious to hear about our day, proud of our achievements, sympathetic to our disappointments. Her family was her life - we were her priority. She was a proud and capable matriarch. Ruth was gentle, kind, loving, and attentive, a loyal friend, generous volunteer, talented poet, an excellent bridge partner, a consummate hostess, a competitive lawn bowler and wicked at crosswords and scrabble. Her passing leaves such an ache in our hearts which will, in time, be replaced by the laughter we shared, the lessons we learned and the unconditional love we received. We love you Mom and we thank you with all our hearts. In Lieu of Flowers donations to St. Johns Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
