BUCHANAN, Simone Melanie
-Nee: Schockaert 81 years young, died
peacefully on May 2, 2006. She lost her battle with cancer, which was
mercifully brief. Simone leaves behind her long time partner of 15 years
G. Stanley Wallace. Loving Mother to Rita, James, Michael Grandmother to Matthew, Melanie, Philip, Marilyn, Kira, Mary Krystelle, Samantha, Andrew and Great Grandmother to Alexa and
Nicole. She was born in Gent Belgium
and immigrated to Canada in 1945 as a war bride marrying Pte. Arthur
Weldon Buchanan, Northshore
Regiment, who predeceased her in 1981. Spending most of her working life in Montreal with Hadassah Wizo Organization of Canada and retired to BC in 1989. She will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. As per her wishes there will be no service with a private family service to be held later.
