It is with sadness for our loss and gratefulness for a wonderful life that we announce the passing of our Mother, Sophie Nicholson on September 5, 2017 in Fort Langley at the age of 89. Sophie was born in Strong Pine Saskatchewan June 28, 1928 and moved to Langley at the age of 16. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, square dancing and a multitude of friends and family. Sophie was predeceased by husbands Peter Moleschi (1926-1963) and Andrew Nicholson (1924-2010) and sisters Doris Smith and Mary Stashyn as well as brothers Peter Oleksy, Harry Oleksy and Jerry Oleksy. Sophie is survived by her four children Marshall Moleschi (Karen) of Kelowna, Colleen Romanuik (Dayle) of Kelowna, Lynda Moleschi (Dale) of Aldergrove and Dan Moleschi (Diane) of Maple Ridge and 7 grandchildren as well as her sister Sylvia Toews (Richard) of Abbotsford and Bill Oleksy (Jenny) of Lethbridge. A heartfelt "thank you" to the staff at Simpson Manor for the special care given to Sophie over the past number of years. Sophie, as a Mom, Grandma, Sister and friend will live on in our hearts and thoughts forever.
