Susan Margaret "Sue" Plumridge

March 30, 2018

Mar 30, 2018
Langley lost one of its true pioneers on March 29th, 2018.

Sue Plumridge lived 94 of her 98 years within a four-mile radius in Langley City. The daughter of Ed and Lillian Wilson, Sue and her brothers, Bill and Pat, grew up on the small family farm where the 6th hole of Newlands Golf Club now lies.

Sue married Bill Plumridge, of Mission City, in the early 40s. After a short sojourn in Eastern Canada during the war, they returned to Langley where Bill was the postmaster for many years. Bill and Sue were both active members of St. Andrews Anglican Church and loved golfing at Newlands. Sue was also a crackerjack bridge player.

Bill and Sue were privileged to spend several years travelling throughout the world, making friends and sharing memories. Sue was predeceased by husband Bill; her daughter, Pamela Miller; sons-in-law, Walter Miller and Art Dodd.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Carol/Toddy Dodd and Rick (Annemarie); five grandchildren - Carisu Dodd, Art Dodd, Brent Miller; Brian Miller and Theresa Torgasows (Jason); three great-grandchildren - Taylor, Dawson and Me- gan; son-in-law Gerry Niblow.

As well, Sue leaves an extended family of nieces and nephews.

So many wonderful memories. Rest in Peace, Sue. No service by request.
