August 14, 1940 - August 2, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Ed. Dad was predeceased by his parents Tom and Vera in 1998 and 1987. He will forever be remembered by his sister Louise (Don) Sanderson; sons Randy and Darren (Brenda) and daughter Kellie (Mike) Engels; grandson Brendan and granddaughter Charlene (Shawn)
Sangha; 3 great grandchildren Zayah, Gavin and Joelen; as well as many other extended family members and long time friends.
Born in Nipawin SK, Dad's family moved to Langley in 1948 and he remained in Langley until his final day. He graduated from Langley Secondary School in 1959 and a few years later began working at Scott Paper in New Westminster where he continued to work for over 40 years until retirement. Dad had a love for hunting and fishing and spent a lot of time over the years doing both. With the help of many family members and friends he built a cabin on Green Lake in the Cariboo and spent 50 years making memories there and his family will continue to make many more. After retiring he found a love for cruising and enjoyed many trips. He was a member of the Langley Seniors Centre playing both table tennis and pickle ball and he competed in the BC Senior Games in 2013, 2015 and 2017 earning bronze, silver and gold medals.
Dad had a great love for family and always enjoyed being surrounded by his. Family get togethers won't be the same without you Dad. We will miss you forever and always.
