Botter, Thomas Richard (Dick) - was born in Blairmore, AB and passed way the early morning of September 26, 2017 in his 84th year; with members of his loving family by his side. 

Survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mavis and their daughters Cynthia; Arlene (Eric); Brenda (Gregory); Barbara (Douglas); and his beloved dog Zoro.

Sadly missed by grandchildren Hannah, Sophia, Elise, Nathan, Celina, James, Jacquelline, Janelle, Jeremy, Michael, Charles and Jonathan as well as great-grandchildren Lily, Addy, and Teagan.

Fondly remembered by sisters Lorna (Don); Betty (Ed); Shirley (dec.); Lois (dec.) (Bud dec.); Donny (dec.) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Dick was a valued employee of CP Rail for 38 years where he worked as a Signals Engineer that took him all over Canada as well as oversees to Asia.

He was well liked and respected for his expertise in his field and for his sharp wit and humorous quips and one-liners.

Dick was a loyal and caring man to his family and friends.

He made this home in Richmond BC for the majority of his life and only recently moved to Langley BC where he admired the rural lifestyle, vast trees and spending time on long country road drives.     

The family will welcome guests on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm to remember and reflect on Dick's life.

The memorial service will be held at Henderson's Funeral Home located at  20786 Fraser Hwy, Langley, BC  with a  reception to follow immediately afterward .

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Huntington Society of Canada .
