Wesley Dewaine MUIR

MUIR, Wesley Dewaine passed on peacefully, at The Waverley in Chilliwack on Monday, December 18, 2006. Born August 31st, 1927 at Chilliwack, British Columbia. Wes is survived by son William (Evelyn) grandchild Cheryl (Tim Hogg) and family friend Donnie Fitzpatrick; daughter Doreen Olson (Larrie) grandchildren Angela (great grandchildren, Nathan and David), Silas (Yaneth), Clint, and Allan; and daughter Louise Christian (Bill) of Slocan Park; sisters Doris and Phyllis and brother Roger. Predeceased by wife Irene, brothers Stewart and Doug and grandchildren Robyn and Vincent. Wes' career was with the cattle industry. He joined the Chilliwack A.I Center in 1950 and later, the B.C.A.I Center in 1964, retiring in 1987. Affiliations included the Canadian Order of Foresters and the Royal Canadian Legion. Traveling with wife Irene, skiing, golfing, a good dance and supporting/watching grandchildren in sports kept him busy. Carpentry was the hobby he loved giving many keepsakes to family, extended family and friends. A celebration of Wes' life will be held in Chilliwack, B.C., Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Camp River Hall, 50246 Camp River Road, Chilliwack B.C. Cremation. Interment at Chilliwack Cemetery. Wes' family wish to thank Doctors and Staff at The Waverley and the many family and friends who visited during his last three years back in his home town having returned after 28 years in Langley and 10 years in Penticton. Arrangements entrusted to Wiebe and Jeske Funeral Services, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
