1924 - 2010
Winnie went home to be reunited with loved ones on Thursday, November 12, 2010 at the age of 85. She was born to the late Robert & Francis Mictchell on December 21, 1924 in Coleman, Alberta where she met and married the late Richard Hamiltom in 1945. They lived together in Calgary Alberta before relocating to Vancouver in the 1950's.
Winnie is also predeceased by her late son Robert James Hamilton who made his journey home on August 31, 1984.
Winnie is survived by three children: William Hamilton, Bonnie Hamilton and Penny Hamilton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Tammy Deroche, Jacob Hamilton and Jason Hamilton as well as four great-grand children, Darien, Leena, Paige, Kaylee as well as her granddaughter-in-law Karianne Hamilton, her son-in-law Robert Carlson and her canine companion Nikki. Winnie proudly served in WWII and successfully worked for over 30 years for T. Eaton's Company in Vancouver. She was a kind and committed mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and wife. Her unique sense of humor and wittiness will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The immediate family will celebrate Winnie's life and her journey home to her loved one on her upcoming birthday. At her request no service will be held.
