Almost $20,000 collected in firefighters' boots

Langley Township firefighters collected funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Editor: On Sept. 28 and 29, Langley Township firefighters showed their support for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, by holding out their boots to collect donations.

The community’s response was overwhelming.

Thanks to your donations and to the businesses that kindly allowed us to hold the event at their locations, close to $20,000 was raised over the weekend to “make muscles move” and improve the quality of life for those living with neuromuscular disorders.

Township firefighters are proud to be a part of this extremely generous community and thank everyone who supported the Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive.
