Barn owl a natural surprise

It was very, very cool to see an owl. I hope I can see one again.

Editor: Me and my Nana went up the front door steps and when we got to the top we were surprised to see a barn owl. It looked at my Mom and then it looked straight at me. It had an inward face and where its eyes were, it went so much inward that it looked like two plates.

There were two little birds chirping at it because I think that it was trying to eat their babies. I was scared that the owl would swoop down and eat the baby birds for lunch. Then the owl flew off the branch and went into our backyard. I ran straight through the house. I opened the back door just in time to see a branch wiggle.

Then when my Mom came, she spotted where the owl was. My Nana took a picture of it and we then thought it was going to attack us because it was looking straight at all of us and moving into position.

But we went in the house. Later my Mom checked out the back door again, and it was still there. But when I went out, it wasn’t. I was sad it wasn’t still there. But it was very, very cool to see an owl. I hope I can see one again.
