Community made May Day happen

The committee would like to see May Day not only survive but grow to be one of the finest festivals in B.C.

Editor: The Fort Langley Mayday Committee would like to thank all those people who supported and volunteered with this year’s May Day festivities. This committee is made up of representatives from the BIA, Centennial museum, Farm museum, Historical Fort, Fort Langley citizens and headed up by the Fort Langley Lions.

Despite the inclement weather, we were able to deliver a fantastic parade and community activities. Thanks to our corporate sponsors: IGA, Homelife and Freybe's. In addition, it needs to be mentioned that May Day would not happen without the May Day grant from the Township of Langley.

Next year’s parade and May Day activities will be our 91st. The committee would like to see it not only survive but grow to be one of the finest festivals in B.C. To do this, we will need the continued support of our volunteers and sponsors. If you would like to help us out next year, please call Wendy at  604-888-4051.
