Don't rip a dead man

Stompin' Tom wrote a hockey song because he loved the game.

Editor: Mike Harvey is correct in there being a lot of good games (sports), played by many people in many lands.

But that is no excuse for ripping a dead man who only wrote a song about the sport he loves, which is played by so many people, in the country that he loves. Do not call down Stompin’ Tom because he didn’t write a song about some sport that you like better than hockey, but instead call out for the living people who haven’t yet written an anthem for those other sports.

Harvey should be celebrating the accomplishments of a popular and much-loved Canadian, not criticizing a man after his death because their choice in sports did not match.
