Good neighbours

Editor: It’s just wonderful how neighbours here in Brookswood treat each other. They go and slink and sneak around, sending complaints to the Township bylaw people, instead of coming and talking to you.

When I get a letter from the Township with a complaint, I think about all the laws and bylaws being broken in the neighbourhood that I don’t report.

When the neighbour shot a squirrel off the fence between our properties and my children were in the back yard, did I report that? When the neighbour was operating a commercial business in his residential property, did I report that?

When the neighbour hit my vehicle in my driveway, did I report that? When there are illegal suites and “tenants” parking at the front of your house, did I report that?

When the neighbour came to me asking for a letter to build extra on their house because it was oversize, did I turn them away?

When the neighbours’ dogs bark for no reason at nothing all day while I try to sleep because I work nights, do I report that? When there are other people’s properties with stuff filling their driveways, do I report that?

Just a great big thank you to the coward who sent the bylaw people to me, simply because you couldn’t come and talk to me.

Nice neighbours.
