Editor: I stand by Premier John Horgan concerning the pipeline not being built.

It’s time this country stops shipping our oil to the United States so they can sell it cheaper to their countrymen than what we can buy it for here.

Also, I’m sick and tired of how the oil industry says it’s too expensive to build another refinery here in B.C., but they can spend billions on a pipeline to the USA to feed their market. Hyprocrisy at its best.

Alberta wants to play with Canadian oil and turn off the tap or slow down the flow to oil to British Columbia – to Canadians — but feels quite comfortable shipping oil to a foreign country?

This is not politics, but foreign encroachment on democracy and our country from an oil industry that wants to control one of our domestic products. I say nationalize it and get it back in control for Canadians.

I am sick and tired of how we are suppose to be moving to green energy, but are controlled by the oil industry.

There are countries that have total wind power for their electricity and for their industry, but we can’t seem to wrap our mind saround this in this country or this province. Why?

I believe we have oil exploration and wells drilled in northern British Columbia. Where is this oil being transferred to?

Canada should be moving toward green energy faster than it is. The benefits of the oil from this province should only be considered if it takes into consideration constructing another oil refinery here in B.C., with long-term jobs and a safe environment powered by a green industry.
