Dear Editor,
Grace Mueller’s comments [‘Lawful’ isn’t ‘right’, July 10 Letters, Langley Advance] are so typical of opponents to the Coulter Berry project in Fort Langley.
All of a sudden, after two years of wrongly and with much vile vitriol spewing forth about the “illegal†actions of the Township, as well as the relentless character assassination of a committed and visionary community member, Mr. Woodward, it is no longer the issue that Township was acting unlawfully, but that some moral injustice has been created of which she is not only the judge, but apparently in her view, a more moral one than three supreme court justices of the appellate court.
Bitter opponents are still ranting about the decision with an astounding amount of arrogance.
Really? Are they actually trying to imply that differing but nonetheless subjective views on design are intense moral issues that must supersede the law and are of equal moral imperative to, say, world hunger?
What is immoral are the aspersions cast against all who disagree, and the persistent disruption of what was a beautiful community that no human-made structure could ever render as ugly as the people who have perpetuated vitriolic antagonism with their continued efforts to explicitly or implicitly malign other community members because they didn’t get their way.
Enough already with the sore loser bit.
