Letter: Cyclists should be using dedicated bike lanes

Editor: I’m replying to Sorry, not sorry for being a happy cyclist, (The Times Friday, Dec. 8).

If these cyclists want to be respected on roadways, ride like you would drive your car.

Share the road. We the taxpayers pay for bikes lanes so you can be happy, but tell me why you have to ride in the roadway. It’s almost like (cyclists) challenge the vehicle some instances.

And why would you ride your bike on a busy street? Why not use the bike lane that runs from Brookswood to downtown Langley. It boils down to it put lights and a plate on your bike and pay insurance like everybody else. And if you don’t want a mirror in the back of head don’t put yourself in that predicament
