Editor: Hire a Student?

We are seniors who have to replace our front lawn. The $6,000 quoted is out of the question on a pension. I’m willing to offer $15 to $20/hr for a responsible student to move some soil and help with laying turf.

Kwantlen and Trinity tell me it is too late to contact their students. Walnut Grove Secondary will no longer be involved or provide a bulletin board for a request.

My neighbour is awaiting knee surgery and needs someone to mow his lawn. He can’t seem to find anyone.

What is going on? Are young adults no longer in need of money?

Leanne Lorimer,

Langley
