Letter: Drivers, slow down and pay attention

Editor: Last week, my friend was jogging and obeying the crossing signal when she was hit and killed by an aggressive and distracted driver.

Yesterday, I was crossing with the traffic light when a woman in a truck turned without looking. If I didn’t have my wits about me, I, too, would be either injured or dead.

Drivers, slow down. Pay attention to what you are doing.

Driving is serious business and life is valuable.

You don’t want murder on your conscience, do you?
