Letter: It's time to rethink safety priorities in Township

Editor: About six  months ago I phoned the Township to complain about all the potholes along 208 Street near 78 Avenue. At the time you almost had to veer into oncoming traffic to avoid the potholes. I was kind of brushed off on the phone and was led to believe this was not considered a safety issue and was not a top priority.

This morning I was putting up garage sale signs in my subdivision. As fast as they were going up, someone from the Township was taking them down.

I finally ran into the fellow who was taking them down and he explained to me that his foreman sent him to take them down because as a safety issue they could distract drivers.

I was a little taken back. I think whoever is making these decisions should maybe rethink the Township’s safety priorities regarding traffic.
