Letter: Kill the pain, not the patient

Dear Editor,

I don’t have a problem with people only living a short time that have a terminal illness and want to kill themselves.

But I have a problem with people who fall through the cracks like people with mental illness, dementia, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

We have strong medication now to kill the pain, not the patient.

A lethal dose is murder, not death with dignity.
