Dear Editor,
All brightens up when we find ourselves in a room of kindness.
I was at Langley City Hall, and my wallet dropped out of my back pocket unbeknownst to me. A couple of minutes later a man taps me on the shoulder and hands me my wallet. The person who handed me my wallet was a homeless person.
At times there are moments that we need to acknowledge that people, no matter who they are or their circumstances confronting them, still live in this world with a heart of gold and it never leaves them.
Everyone needs a wallet returned to them sometime in their lives. And when one experiences this kindness, one needs to acknowledge no matter how unexpected it is or where it comes from that life is a journey of giving and then by acknowledging an act of kindness that can come from anyone, and from people we don’t even know, and yes, even from a hand that gives back and asks for nothing in return.
