It seems that no matter what side is telling the story, until we are all treated as one, with no special treatment or benefits, nothing is going be accomplished.

I am a white male, 65 years old, born in B.C. with “primitive viewpoints.”

I have also been around long enough to remember the late ’70s mantra coming out of the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs office on West Hastings Street to the effect that “no one owns the land and resources, Mother Earth owns the land and we are all just caretakers.”

Funny how times change when there are dollar signs attached.
