Letter: Street names incorrect

Before Langley's streets had numbers, they had names.

Dear Editor,

I just want to point out an error in the Langley in history column in the Thursday, September 10, 2015 edition of the Langley Advance.

There is a note under Sixty Years Ago (September 8, 1955 about a collision at Roberts Road (56th Avenue) and County Line (216th Street).

As any old-time Langley person can tell you 216th Street was called Johnstone Townline Road 60 years ago, not County Line which is 264th Street.

P.S. My family lived on the farm at 56th and 216th for over 125 years until it was sold a few years ago.
