Editor: I am extremely thankful for all the people finding my medical problem and having a pacemaker put in me.

First, the people in Windsor Plywood who on Nov. 16, eased me into a chair and called the fire hall #1 station.

Second, the firefighters who checked me out and called the ambulance.

Third, emergency workers in Langley Memorial Hospital (which, by the way, is like Grand Central Station on steroids).

And most of all, for the nurses in the critical care unit. I do not know how they keep up their dedication, patience and professionalism with all the challenges they face every single day.

Then there are the doctors who worked with me and on me to put in the pacemaker I received, who I cannot thank enough.

Finally, I am so thankful I live in Canada where we do not have to pay for every pill and maybe lose our homes if we have to go to the hospital.

I can never repay or thank everyone who helped me enough.

Bill Taylor,

Langley City
