Letter: Thanks to Good Samaritan on Coquihalla

Editor: I need to thank someone who helped me last week and all I know is she is from Langley.

My car seized on a stretch of the Coquihalla, where it’s not safe to pull over.

I had my children with me and we were ill prepared for such an event.

It was snowing a bit and I was so worried my vehicle, while on the shoulder, would get hit as the semis came flying around the corner.

I had my girls get out and walk ahead several hundred yards and get to a safer place.

We were pretty cold as we waited for help and the only person to stop to see what she could do was a lovely girl in her 20s, who offered to help in any way, including a drive into Merritt.

As I had to remain with my car, she offered her two warm blankets, a hat and granola bars.

My daughters went to fetch these items but were too shy to ask her name and number, so I’d like to thank her in your paper.

I know she’s from Langley, that’s about it. Thank you, Good Samaritan.

We will pay it forward.
