Editor: I read in the paper that the Cascades Casino is closing its Summit theatre.

I seem to recall that one of the selling points and conditions for the casino approval was having a show theatre and other such amenities such as conference and ball rooms.

Why has this condition been put aside?

I know the casino wants to make more money, but why are the political decision makers being silent on this matter?

We need a live theatre to draw entertainment acts and people to Langley City.

Why was the theatre not viable? Was it part of the casino management plan originally to not operate it at its full potential?

All I know is that there are very few entertainment venues for various performers to play and closing this one hurts the live performance industry.
