How dare you call euthanasia “premeditated first-degree murder?”
I suggest you get a good lawyer and start suing every hospital in Canada, as you said “assisting in any way to end the life of another person is to be culpable as an accessory.”
How dare you suggest that an “executioner” be assigned to end the life of someone asking for “assistance to die?”
Get off your high horse.
Would you really like to see your mom, dad, child, husband, etc. die from starvation in the very hospital that tries to save lives?
Honestly, given the choice (would you want) to watch someone with healthy organs die a slow and painful — yes painful — death (the medicine helps only so much).
The other option is to maybe give an extra dose of hydro morphine, to let them enter heaven in one day.
You have no idea. Otherwise you would not be so callous and indifferent to the other side of the coin.
Life insurance premiums — really?
Who gives a damn about insurance when your loved one is absolutely going to die, soon?
Find the compassion in some part of your heart to see that no one is going to purposely kill some one they truly love. (There are of course a few exceptions).
This is coming from someone who watched their father die a slow and painful death, as it was our only option.
