Dear Editor,

As someone who also travels frequently down 208th Street from my home in Walnut Grove, I have to agree that, although it’s probably too late to save the foliage along that route [Foliage loss not worth widening, Langley Advance Times, May 8 Letters], new residents in the Willoughby area will still demand it.

Letter-writer Gordie Wiens needs to keep in mind that most of these new people come from other parts of the world where it has already been paved over and made into a parking lot.

They have a lessened degree of regard for our natural resources.
