Dear Editor,
As the parent of two young school-age children, I am extremely concerned and dismayed to see the number of drivers speeding through their school zone every morning and afternoon at peak drop-off and pick-up times.
My children attend Nicomekl Elementary, and in the past week, my husband and I have observed countless vehicles doing more than double the posted limit.
I would like to remind drivers who travel on 53rd Avenue (or any school zone) to SLOW DOWN and watch for children now that school is back in session.
