Letters: Shift burning season totally

Dear Editor,

I live in Langley and totally understand the need for bans on burning when the weather is so hot and dry.

But you would think that, after years of putting burning on hold due to hot weather, city hall would use the brains and change the dates permanently.

We lose weeks each year for burning, but the cost of permits stays the same.

So my suggestion is to move it to Oct. 1 to, say, Nov. 30. Then everyone is happier.

I’m patiently waiting with matches at the ready.

Ali, Langley
