Editor: The Holiday Decoration in January
There’s one last decoration hanging still,
Hiding, drooping, looking ill,
In protest and stubborn will.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
I spy it near the window sill,
Its hour is past with holiday thrill,
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
It seems to be a bitter pill,
A forgotten and only frill.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
It shall remain there until . . .
Surrounding it is nothing, nil.
There’s one last decoration hanging still.
