Editor: I have written both my MLA (Mary Polak) and my MP (Mark Warawa) to express my disgust at the way we are being treated by our governments. The price of fuel in this area is absolutely disgusting, and we are clearly being ripped of by government and the oil companies.
The Canadian dollar is declining again along with the latest drop in the price of a barrel of oil. The U.S. administration has stated that there is a glut of oil in the world, and the U.S. reserves are so full that they are running out of capacity to store any more reserve oil.
How can our governments justify the pillaging of people here that need to drive and need access to fuel? We are clearly being cheated.
Our government is simply allowing us to be cheated and is standing by and doing nothing, because they are complicit in this scam. We are paying prices at the pump that are the highest in North America.
Trust me, in the next provincial and federal elections, I will be making different choices.
I encourage eveyone else to step up, speak up and complain and write their MLAs and MPs as well.
