Public interest in Langley Township matters is fickle

Hundreds attend public hearings, but very few take an interest when it comes to setting tax rates

Editor: Public hearings go on for three days regarding the Brookswood/Fernridge Community Plan, then the Coulter Berry hearing dragged on for three more nights, with no apparent end in sight during the first two days last week.

It would be nice if Mayor Jack Froese could rake ’em in on Township budget night, when typically only a dozen citizens show up. Then the remaining thousands do nothing but complain when their tax bill comes in.
