Signal for roundabouts like four-way stop sign

Earlier signalling offers more time for smooth entry

Dear Editor,

Might I add to the previous letter about roundabouts from Jennica Rawstron in Fort Langley [Roundabouts fall short, Mar. 24, Langley Advance Times].

She has the idea right, but I believe a person should start signalling well before they enter the roundabout, just as you would coming up to an old-fashioned four-way stop. That gives other drivers plenty of time to meld into the circle earlier and smoother.
