The first road trip of the season by the Langley Rivermen involved a short jaunt to Surrey and a 4-1 win over the Eagles on Friday, Sept 27.
Eagles scored first at the South Surrey Arena at 12:45 on a scramble play in front, but Mason Kesselring tied the game 3:29 later off an offensive zone face-off win by Ryan Schelling.
Langley scored three times more, with Will Shepard netting his first BCHL goal, Ryan Schelling scoring his second goal in as many games and and Ethan Merner adding a late empty net goal.
It was the first meeting of the two teams.
During their second meeting, the next night at George Preston arena in Langley, Merner, Shepard and Ryan Schelling fought the visitors to a 3-3 tie, that went to a shootout and a 4-3 win for the visitors.
Surrey takes it 4-3 in shoutout.
