The Western Lacrosse Association championship series is all even at one game apiece.

The Coquitlam Adanacs rode a lethal power play — five goals on seven chances — as they edged the Langley Thunder 9-8 in game two of the senior A best-of-seven playoff series on Tuesday night.

The game was played at Coquitlam’s Poirier Sports Complex.

The Adanacs scored five goals in the opening period, were blanked in the middle stanza, but scored four more times in the third, including a hat trick from Dane Dobbie, who scored his three goals in a 5:14 span.

Dobbie also had two assists to finish with five points.

The Thunder trailed 5-4 after the first but scored the only two goals of the second to lead 6-5 after 40 minutes.

For Langley, Athan Iannucci led the way with six points, including four goals, while Lewis Ratcliff had two goals and five points.

Tor Reinholdt and Alex Turner had the other Thunder goals and Garrett Billings chipped in with three assists.

Game three of the series is tonight (Thursday) at the Langley Events Centre.

The teams will play in Coquitlam on Aug. 25 and game five will be at the LEC on Aug. 27.

All three games begin at 7:45 p.m.
