A third period rally by the Aldergrove Kodiaks turned around the opening game of the second round of playoffs, to give the team a 2-1 win over the Abbotsford Pilots.

The Pilots had scored first on a power play midway through the second period but it was to be their last goal of the night before a standing room only crowd at Aldergrove Arena, March 12.

Kodiak Ryan Veillet opened the scoring, and Stephen Ryan scored the winner.

Kodiak keeper Ross Baadsvik earned the game's first star for phenomenal work in stopping 52 shots by the Pilots that night.

The two teams meet again at Aldergrove Arena March 14, 7:15 p.m., before the series moves to Abbotsford Friday and Saturday nights.
