Awful.
That was head coach Bobby Henderson's assessment of the Langley Rivermen's three-game Island road trip.
The junior A hockey club made stops in Nanaimo, Cowichan Valley and Powell River, managing just a single point in their three stops.
"We just weren't good," he said. "Decent on Saturday, but that was it."
Saturday was a 4-3 double overtime loss to the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Sandwiched around that game were 6-1 and 5-1 losses to the Nanaimo Clippers and Powell River Kings.
Henderson said in those two games, the team was victimized by bad bounces which resulted in "a couple quick cheesy goals" and the team could not recover.
The results leave Langley in last place in the Mainland Division with a record of 9-10-0-4. Thankfully for the team, they are in the midst of a eight-game break in the schedule as they do not play again until next week (Nov. 27) when they host the Surrey Eagles at the Langley Events Centre. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
"It gives us a chance to make some adjustments," Henderson said, adding it would give a chance for some of his banged up players to heal.

In the first game, the teams were tied at one after 20 minutes with Matt Ustaski erasing an early Nanaimo lead. But that would be all the Rivermen could muster in a game in which they were outshot 51-28.
The Clippers scored three goals in the middle frame and then salted the victory with a pair of third-period power-play goals.
Nanaimo had a balanced attack with six players — Josh Bryan, Greg Fraser, Trevor Fitzgerald, Kevin Miller, Kyle Kramer and Christopher Rygus — all contributing one goal.
Cowichan Valley 4 Langley 3 (OT)
The next night against Cowichan Valley, the teams were scoreless heading into the second period before Jarrett Brown scored for the Caps and Mark Whiteley responded for Langley, both on the power play.
The Capitals jumped ahead 3-1 in the third on goals from Grant Nicholson and then Troy Paterson on another man advantage.
But with just over five minutes left, Evan Campbell gave the visitors some life with a beautiful breakaway goal.
And then, on a five-minute power play, Langley struck for the equalizer as Trevor Cope deftly redirected Viktor Dombrovskiy's point shot.
In the second overtime period — where a penalty results in a penalty shot — Mikael Jung took advantage, skating in and slipping home the winner five-hole past Langley goalie Darren Hogg.
Powell River 5 Langley 1
And then playing their third game in less than 72 hours, the Rivermen fell behind 3-0 to Powell River and eventually lost 5-1.
Mario Puskarich had the lone Langley tally.
Matt Scarth scored twice for the hosts, while Evan Richardson, J.P. Villeneuve and Jarryd Leung had the other goals.
