Valley Ball Hockey’s U-11 Valley Vipers have won the silver at the 2016 Western Challenge Cup.

The Valley Vipers team is made up of players from Langley, Aldergrove and Abbotsford.

The tournament was hosted by Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.

"We made it to the Gold Medal game but fell 3-2 in overtime," said head coach Brad Wheeler. "Our players battled their hearts out and I am extremely proud of my team."

The Vipers' record was as follows:

Game 1 was 4-3 win over Surrey.

Game 2 was a 2-1 win over Metro Vancouver.

Game 3 was a 4-1 loss to Ridge Meadows.

Game 4 was a 2-1 win over Tri Cities.

Game 5 was an 8-2 win over Delta.

Game 6 was a 4-3 win over Victoria.

Game 7, the Gold Medal Game was a 3-2 overtime loss to Ridge Meadows.

The team roster includes goalies Jordan Legault and Leah Aukema, Lachlan Curtis, Darnel Walton, Justin Wright, Marco Oliviero, Matthew Cracknell, Cody Davis, Justin Brar, Team Captain Jaxon Wheeler, Savin Sran, Hudson Koch, Justin Zandbergen, Preston Vipond, Kallen Barthelson, Joel Zandbergen and Cameron Butson.

Head coach is Brad Wheeler, assistant coaches are Dave Zandbergan, Sean Vipond and Rob Aukema, and manager is Amanda Barthelson.
