Beautiful butterflies soar in support of Langley Lodge, Langley Hospice Society

Orange butterflies took flight into the clearing sky Saturday at Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery on Saturday afternoon.

Alf and Sandee Krause and the team at Krause Berry Farms hosted the second annual butterfly release in support of the Langley Hospice Society and Langley Lodge.

For a $20 donation per butterfly, visitors released the monarchs, with proceeds going to the Langley Hospice Society and Langley Lodge.

More than $5,000 was raised at this year’s release, with money going towards therapeutic recreation programming at Langley Lodge to provide residents ongoing positive activity, and to assist the Langley Hospice Society in expanding palliative care and grief support programs free of charge within the community.

Langley Lodge and Langley Hospice volunteers came out to lend a hand at the event, which was sponsored by Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, REMAX Treeland Realty, Kristine from Carrick Communications, Joytv BC, Carmen Ruiz y Laza from Carmen TV, and Kim from Flutterbuys.

This will be an annual event at Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery.
