A pair of big innings helped the Langley Blaze to a fourth consecutive victory.

The Blaze scored four times in the second and six more in the fourth in a 13-5 win over the Whalley Chiefs in BC Premier Baseball League action at Whalley Athletic Park on Thursday night (May 18).

The win improved Langley to 12-5.

Gus Wilson had three hits and was one of three players — along with Danny Berg and Mac Berry — to finish with two RBIs apiece.

Brandon Nicoll, Dawson Gray, Daniel Martin, Michael O’Toole and Marshall Luiz each drove home one run.

Colby Ring earned the win, scattering three runs on four hits over four innings. Jacob Baker came on in middle relief and struck out three of the seven batters he faced before giving way to Kyle Pfeifer in the seventh.

Pfeifer surrendered a pair of runs before nailing down the final three outs.

Langley is back in action on May 19 as they host the Abbotsford Cardinals.
