The Langley Blaze swept a doubleheader over the North Delta Blue Jays, snapping a brief two-game losing streak.

The Blaze needed extra innings but had a walk-off win in game one, 7-6, before doubling up the Blue Jays by a 6-3 count in game two on Sunday at McLeod Athletic Park.

Coupled with a 6-3 loss to the White Rock Tritons last week (April 27), Langley sits at 6-4 in the BC Premier Baseball League.

Langley fell behind 5-0 after two innings and trailed 6-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth. But three runs in their half of the inning set up extra innings before Danny Berg hit a bases-loaded single to score Jayden Knight.

It was one of three runs Knight scored in the game while Berg finished with a pair of hits and two RBIs. Cole Cantelon and Marsall Luiz also drove in a run apiece.

Jacob Baker earned the win with seven solid innings, allowing one run on five hits.

Game two saw Mac Berry deliver a pair of RBIs with Dawson Grey, Daniel Martin, Berg and Luiz driving in one run apiece.

Matt Dalgleish picked up the victory with a complete game six-hitter.

Against the Tritons, Gray drove in a pair of runs.

Langley is back in action on May 2 when they visit Delair Park to take on the Abbotsford Cardinals.

They also the Okanagan Athletics in a four-game set on May 6 and 7 at McLeod Athletic Park. The games begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
