For the second time in two weeks, the Delta Islanders scored late to force overtime and then defeated the Langley Junior Thunder in the extra session.

The junior A lacrosse squads met on Monday night at Delta's Sungod Arena.

Three times in the third period and overtime, the Thunder took a one-goal lead, but each time, the Islanders notched the equalizer before ultimately scoring the wining goal in an 11-10 victory,

Delta had forced an extra period with the tying goal with just nine seconds to go in regulation.

In overtime, Colton Dow's power play goal put Langley ahead 10-9 but Logan Schuss scored twice in a 13-second span to give Delta a lead they would not relinquish.

Dow and Adam Will both scored twice for Langley while Nick Stone, Jake Taylor, Sean Lundstrom, Brandon Bull, Eric Ransom and Max Weselowski had a goal apiece.

The Thunder saw their record fall to 10-10-0 heading into the regular season finale on July 5 at the Langley Events Centre against the first-place Coquitlam Junior Adanacs (15-3-0).
